On The Spot: What’s the matter with the Bengals?

As we all know, our beloved Cincinnati Bengals have gotten off to a disastrous start to their 2007 season, leaving the Who-Dey nation to shame and embarrassment. The question that remains is why has this happened? A few of our very own RWC students seem to have the answers.

Marcus Boyd
“The Bengals are not as good as people hyped them up to be. Marvin Lewis is not a real coach, but more of a general manager or scout. Rudi sucks, and TJ needs to shut up and play! Who-Dey, you guys ask? The Cleveland Browns, the Seattle Seahawks, and the New England Patriots. The only person who has any sense on that team is Carson Palmer.”

Brady Tilow

“We need Chris Henry back. Teams double team Chad and Housh, knowing that we don’t have anybody else to throw to. The defense is horrible, and it starts with our linebackers. We only have four healthy linebackers, and only three of those were in training camp.”

Sarah Beekman

“We’ve lost some games because we’ve played some really good teams. Our defense hasn’t done much in the games we lost, and Chad and Carson don’t communicate effectively.”

Todd Bonds

“When I watch the Cincinnati Bengals, I feel like I’m watching a ‘Good Times’ rerun. Chad Johnson’s act of coonery is getting old. His act has become a minstrel show, and it’s bringing the whole team down.
