RWC Will Get Less State Funding in 2011

The Ohio Board of Regents has announced that the state will be reducing payments to higher education in excess of $127 million for fiscal year 2011. UC and its regional campuses will have less funds to work with and the College will be receiving fewer state funds than were initially expected. Specifically, according to RWC Assistant Dean Eugene Kramer, Raymond Walters College will see an expected $773,737 reduction in payment for FY 2011.

Looking to 2012, the College can expect an additional cut of 25 percent of state operating funding.

However, there is good news to report, as some of the disheartening news from the state should be offset as growth at the College has exceeded budget projections, Kramer said.
