Looking for a job? Career Services offers on-line help

If you’re anything like the average college student these days, you’re more than likely always looking for a job.The RWC Career Services Office has made job searches easier than ever. By logging on to http://www.collegecentral.com/ucrwc, you can begin your search for local jobs within minutes.

By completing a basic information form on the website, students can gain access to numerous job listings across the greater Cincinnati area. Students can make their search even easier by uploading a personal resume to the site. Once your resume has been added, it can be viewed by numerous employers, who will then contact you about available positions.

Job listings on the site can vary between full-time, part-time, seasonal, internship, and volunteer positions.

Employers will not contact you if you only post your basic information; all you can do is search the job listings. So it is strongly suggested that you upload your full resume for employers to see, so they can contact you.

Tresha Lewis, Career Services Placement Officer, says she gets “lots of positive feedback from both students and employers about being able to meet together.”

If you do not know how to create a resume, or may need some assistance, visit the Career Services Office in Muntz 125, across from the Bookstore. There you can pick up a free job search handbook, which has different example of resumes.

You can also stop in the Career Services Office and speak with someone to get individual help with your resume.
