The latest Dish with the Dean was held on April 21, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Muntz Lobby. Dean Cady Short-Thompson discussed and answered questions about various upcoming changes and events. One point of discussion was the cafeteria renovations that are coming to RWC and how there will be new food and more settings in a trendier environment. Dean Short-Thompson talked about the pavilion that will be added in the space outside the Library.

The Dean also said that a shuttle will be coming to RWC in the Fall Quarter of 2011 to transport students between the RWC and UC Uptown campuses from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The shuttle will arrive near SAHB and the trips should average from a half hour to 45 minutes.

A new Student Life Coordinator is also coming to RWC, the Dean said, possibly by the end of Spring Quarter.

She also mentioned the new Farmers Market that will be open at RWC from May 26 until October. There will be 25-30 venders at the Market, selling all sorts of food, from produce to Belgian waffles. The Market will be opened every Thursday from 3-7 p.m.

In addition, the Dean said there will be a renovations done to the Annex building for it to become a Teaching Learning Center for Art.

One student asked her about internships offered at RWC and was instructed to go to Career Services.

The Dean would like to know what RWC students want, and she intends to continue these regular opportunities to hear from them.
