I received “Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman’s Soul,” by John & Stasi Eldredge, for a gift from my now-engaged best friend. I got right into it and found this book interesting and clever. It is an excellent book for women, young and old, to read. It is also a good book for men to read, so they can attempt to understand a woman.
This book can help women cope with addictions, family problems, spiritual problems, problems with lovers, problems with children, and many other problems plaguing women. If you have been scarred by something, this book can be your key.
John and Stasi do an excellent job of explaining a problem, providing examples of good and bad behaviors and solutions. They use examples from their lives and from people they know
They also integrate Biblical figures and passages fluidly with examples of characters from movies and books. This helps the reader to relate to what the writers are saying. They don’t write with a “holier than thou” attitude; they just aim to help people understand and provide insight. The book is easy to understand and is truly an interesting take on the Christian woman and women in general.
It breaks commonly held stereotypes in society. The authors don’t pretend to be perfect; they write this book from experience, and they realize that most people have been in a situation close to theirs.
This book helped me deal with a lot of insecurities and little issues I have always had. It is fresh and interesting. If you would like a copy, you can find it at most bookstores, online, or at Christian bookstores.
