RWC Student Government President Aimee McLean released the following statement regarding an Undergraduate Student Trustee position available for a UC student:As a state assigned institution, the University of Cincinnati is required to be governed by a state appointed Board of Trustees that consists of nine voting members and two non-voting student members. The Board is entrusted in overseeing the operation of the University and making the best decisions for the University of Cincinnati with the interests of the Ohio taxpayers in mind. As a result, the Undergraduate Student Trustee plays a pivotal role in helping the voting Board members, who are not a part of daily campus life, to be informed on all sides of an issue when making important decisions.

The Student Trustee is required to act as an effective liaison between the Undergraduate Student Government and the Board of Trustees of the University of Cincinnati. Moreover, the Trustee is charged with the duty to participate in and encourage the development of collective unity and communication among all Ohio Student Trustees. Lastly, a large time commitment is expected of the Student Trustee as well as making it a high-priority on his or her schedule.
