Are you interested in games, blood, guts, and more? “Saw III,” a sequel to two previously successful “Saw” films, is mainly about Amanda in a big game. For those of you who don’t know who Amanda is, she is the girl in the first movie who survived and then was Jigsaw’s helper in the rest of his games. In this movie she sets up a series of games that are impossible to get out of. Jigsaw is upset about her doing this, so the whole time in the movie her life is a game to see if she respects life enough to live.
I won’t ruin the whole movie for you, even though I was extremely disappointed in it. I thought it would have followed the second one a lot more, but it is kind of starting all over again except for some of the same things and people.
The suspense from the first two endings was incredible, but going to the theatre just isn’t for me, paying $9.00 for just the movie. Then, if you want popcorn and a drink, you pay another ten bucks.
I ended up being pretty bummed about this movie because it went off the story line slightly from the first two. The games in the first two are not so impossible that you could not get out of them. The character who does survive in the first one (Amanda) is now Jigsaw’s helper because he is dying of cancer. The second one follows the first one very well, but the third only follows the first two a little bit.
So if you are like me and like to have movies all make sense with each other and are tired of movies not following the ones before it, don’t go see this one, because you will be extremely disappointed.
