RWC opens the 2001-2002 ARTrageous Saturdays series with a bang – literally – on Saturday, Nov. 3. Three percussion students from UC College-Conservatory of Music formed Tierkreis Percussion Trio in 1997. According to College representatives, the trio uses a unique variety of percussion instruments–from drums of all shapes and sizes to their own bodies–to play music. Audience participation is said to be a must for this reportedly dynamic show.On Saturday Dec. 1, Theatre IV will perform “The Velveteen Rabbit.” Cincinnati Opera will be here to perform “The Toy Shop” on Saturday, March 9.
Closing out the season on Saturday, April 13 is Hobey Ford and his Golden Rod Puppets.
ARTrageous Saturdays, a performing arts series for children, is produced by RWC with support form The City of Blue Ash. Performances are at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the RWC Theater at 9555 Plainfield Road in Blue Ash.
Subscription tickets, which guarantee seats to all five shows, are on sale now for $10 each. Single tickets for each ARTrageous Saturdays performance are $3 and go on sale three weeks prior to each performance; group rates are available.
