The RWC Writing and Study Skills labs have been moved together to provide a one-stop help enviroment for students, conveniently located next to the Math Lab inside the new Computer Concourse in Muntz Hall. All of the labs were moved together to provide a complete resource center for students. Students are encouraged to use the center for consultation, advice, and counseling on papers.
The center offers expert tutors for all subjects except Physics. Professor Diana Becket is Acting Director of the Writing and Study Skills Lab. “Students don’t get tutoring in subject matter in content areas,” Becket says, “but receive help on how to approach content areas.”
She feels that this will help students become more efficient in their learning.
The Writing Center hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday. The Study Skills Center hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
