With the burden of restoring G-Unit’s legacy, Young Buck recently released his new CD titled “Buck the World.” His album goes from a “playa” persona to a tough guy persona throughout. Musically, the album is very experimental. Going from g-funk synths to southern beat style, the album as a whole has a lot of kick to it. I personally would say that it is one of the most innovative albums out from G-Unit in a long time.
Most of the tracks keep a consistent interest from song to song. Dr. Dre offers three beats on the album.
As most albums go, there are only a few songs that we listen to, and the others we lay to waste. With Young Buck’s “Buck the World,” there is no wasted track. Each track has a similar style to the other and keeps the album exciting and fresh.
The amount of featured guests on the album also adds a nice touch to each track. The bottom line is that Young Buck definitely has come out with a gem for G-Unit to be proud of. “Buck the World” possesses everything we ask for in an album and more.
