Transition scholarships now a reality

Due to the hard work of the RWC Student Senators, Raymond Walters and Clermont students are now eligible to compete for one of the new University of Cincinnati Regional Campus Transition Scholarships. The scholarship is for RWC and Clermont students who have graduated with an Associate degree and are transitioning to an Uptown campus baccalaureate college. The award is for $2100 per year for up to two years.

To be eligible you must have a 3.5 or higher GPA, and to renew you must maintain a 3.2 or higher GPA. Applicants must be accepted into a program uptown and be enrolled full time throughout the period for which they receive the award.

The application for Fall 2007 requires two essays and is due absolutely no later than May 31. The selection committee will consist of members from RWC, Clermont and the Uptown campus.

The RWC administration and faculty were in support of our students being treated as any other Associate degree holding transfer students, but they admit it was the hard work of the RWC Student Senators that really acted as a catalyst for the creation of this scholarship.
