Music World Fills with New Releases
So, recently there has been a lot going on in the music world lately. Jazmine Sullivan has just announced that she will be releasing another album titled, Intimate, Justin Bieber released his new album Purpose, Drake has an album that is supposed to drop soon, and we’re still waiting on Rihanna’s Anti release date. But Miss Adele is who has everyone's attention currently, selling 4 million copies of her 25 album in the US alone and topping the billboard 100. The 27 year old singer is definitely on to big things and seems to be extremely talented. That voice and those stories just really take you cruising down memory lane.
Rihanna has just announced her worldwide “Anti” tour and tickets are going on sale December 3. And guess what? (drum roll) She’s actually coming to Cincinnati, March 19! I don’t know about you guys, but this is everything and a dream for me. Now, she needs to just release this album, but I don’t want to rush creativity. I guess she’ll release it when she’s ready. But, speaking of Rihanna, Chris Brown just released a mixtape and Rihanna is featured on the first song called “Counterfeit." I haven’t heard the mixtape yet and probably won’t be for a while because it has 34 songs on it. Umm… Yeah, that’s a lot. I’m not even the biggest Chris Brown fan, so maybe some of you can let me know how that goes. He also is releasing his new album Royalty sometime soon so be on the lookout for that as well.
I’ve also yet to hear Justin Bieber’s new album. I’m not really the biggest Justin fan either, but I’ve been told by others who aren’t “believers” as well and they said that the album is good, so maybe it’s worth checking it out. For you diehard R&B fans, Brandy recently gave a stunning performance on the Soul Train Awards on Sunday. Brandy is yet to release a five track EP and we’re still wondering where it is especially since she’s been dropping release dates but nothing has been put out.
But, what I think needs to be acknowledged, Drake has had the most successful year out of everyone, promoting three albums at one time with no breaks. While most artists try their best to stretch out the hype of their albums to hopefully sell a few more thousand copies, Drake quickly moves on to the next project. Drake has dropped 3 albums this year including his mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and even though we’ve been waiting on Views From The 6 for a while now , he’s managed to do more than just keep our attention. He’s practically got the rap game in a choke hold.
Oh, and before I forget Madea is releasing

her new song “Hellur” inspired by Adele. I don’t know how well it’s going to do but it has sold a whopping 3,000 copies so far on Itunes. HAHAHA, just kidding but I’m really looking forward to these new albums that should be dropping soon and all the new music to be released this upcoming year, but most importantly, Rihanna’s ANTI concert.
