Prayers are With You
On May 1, 2012 a misfortune struck one of our professors at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash (UCBA). It was around midnight when a lightning bolt struck Darice Pacak and her fiancé Gary Keller's lovely home in Liberty Township.
The fire started in the back of the house. While the winds were too strong, it made the flames go out of control and immediately catch the rest of the house on fire. The fire fighters came immediately but it took four hours for them to put out the fire and another two hours to get the remaining contents out of the house.
Even though the family lost precious things that cannot be returned or replaced, the most important thing is that Dr. Pacak and her mother were able to get out of the house without any injuries. On the other hand, Mr. Keller did face a few minor burns on the side of his face due to the fact that he was standing a little too close to the fire, but fortunately nothing too serious.
UCBA would like to say that all of our prayers are sent out to you, Professor Darice Pacak, and your family. We are truly sorry for all you lost and are here to help you through these rough times.
