My World: Let's Think About Spring Break!
Have you been working too hard at school this semester? With all the stress that comes with attending college, every now and then you need a break from all the books, scheduling, homework, and just all the anxiety that comes with school.
Spring break is right around the corner, and if planned soon, you can save big on the trip. So I'm here to tell you the three hottest spring break destinations for college kids to unwind and let loose for a week before returning to good old Cincinnati.
Cancun, Mexico: Imagine stretches of white sandy beaches, warm Caribbean waters and a vibrant nightlife. Cancun is without question one of the top destinations for spring breakers everywhere. This American tourist town along the Mexican Riviera can be quite affordable for students on a tight budget.
Many hotspots here will seem like a bargain compared to other Mexican resort towns, with plenty of inexpensive eateries, nightclubs, and high end hotels. There are many different types of package deals that, if booked in advance, can save you and your friends big.
Miami, Florida: Miami is much like Cancun in a sense, with warm ocean waters, thriving nightlife, great restaurants and cheap hotel and condo rates, but with a far grander style. During spring break, thousands of students travel to South Beach to enjoy the warm crystal ocean and the lively pool parties by day, bar hopping and dancing at the many clubs by night. Miami was and shall remain the best spring break spot in the United States.
South Padre Island, Texas: Just 30 miles from Mexico, South Padre Island is one of the best-kept spring break secrets in America. With summer-like weather there all year round, thousands of young students make the trip every year, particularly during winter and spring breaks.
Much like Miami and Cancun, there are a many luxury hotels, several miles of beautiful beaches and some of the country's hottest beach parties, with many of the vacation packages specifically tailored for college students, combining all the travel, hotel accommodations and even providing entertainment. South Padre Island has emerged as a prime spring break destination.
