ARTrageous Saturdays Returns to UCBA October 4
The 2014-2015 season of ARTrageous Saturdays at UC Blue Ash will feature a line- up of puppets, plays, marionettes, music, comedy, and more.
Cincinnati’s Frisch Marionettes will re- turn to ARTrageous Saturdays on October 4 to present "Puppets Kapow!" They promise a fast paced show featuring puppets per- forming “fantastic feats.”
Lexington Children’s Theater will per- form “Rapunzel” here on November 22. Rapunzel loves to color and paint birds and the sea, but all her Nan seems to love is be- ing safe. As her hair grows longer, her tower grows higher, and her curiosity grows bigger.
On January 31, Madcap Puppets will present “Once Upon A Clock.” Enter a world of stories with Alvis and Sydney, two kids attempting to unlock the secrets of their uncle's mysterious clock shop. Each time they climb through his magical grandfather clock, they are swept away to a land of excit- ing stories.
On February 28, 2015, Chip and the Munks will be here. Touring nation- ally with his band “The Munks,” Chip Richter’s performances are described as “filled with his gentle spirit, pleasant and winsome style, and an unmistakable con- nection with family audiences.” Chip's solo music has been compared to James Taylor.
But there’s also a whole “rockin’” side to his music when his band The Munks joins Chip. The Gizmo Guys, Allan Jacobs and Bar-
rett Felker, will be here on March 28, 2015. They've made numerous television appear- ances, won international juggling competi- tions, and taught at top circus schools. Their act combines “dazzling technique and in- fectious humor.”
All ARTrageous performances are held at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Muntz Theatre on the campus of UC Blue Ash College. Parking is always free. Ticket pricing information is available at www.ucblueash.edu/about/community/artrageous.html.
