Books: Patterson, Lee Team Up for Maximum Ride
With the easy access that the Inter- net allows, it’s an everyday occasion that I get to geek out over some seriously good book series. It’s very literally a part of 
my normal routine: wake up, brush my teeth, feed my puppy, read a book.
But, when James Patterson teamed up with Korean artist NaRae Lee and de- cided to make “Maximum Ride” into a graphic novel, I never geeked harder.
The tale of six mutated, bird-like chil- dren who just so happened to escape “the school” and get to live parent-free is one that I envied like every other kid my age. There was even talk of a movie deal, but, sadly, that fell through quickly.
So, when Lee decided to put some of my favorite characters to picture, I couldn’t help but buy the whole set. The “Manga” adaptation of this eight book seies does incredible justice.
The drawing gives life to characters
long loved and fills you with excitement for every fight scene. Lee has managed to bring Max and her flock to the fore- front of my heart again.
