Drives For Needy Highlight Upcoming Events
Student life has many events going on now for students and helping us out along the way. For example, Spring Se- mester scholarships are now available for Dental Hygiene, Nursing Technology, Veterinary Technology, and any program transitioning to the uptown campus in
fall 2015. The Application deadline is November 23.
In addition, the Student Nurse Association, the Association of Student Educa- tion, and the UCBA Student Government are all having upcoming events and ask- ing for students to help out.
The Student Nurse Association is hav- ing a holiday food drive. Donation bins will be in Muntz, Flory and Walters halls. The Association is asking people to donate non-perishable food items, which will be delivered to the Cincinnati Free Store Food Bank. This drive started on November 6 and runs through November 24.
The Association of Student Education is having a Book Drive. This event will happen during the week of November 17- 21. The group will be collecting gently used children’s books to donate to the Academy of World Languages. Donation boxes will be located outside of One Stop and in the Walters Hall Lobby.
The Student Government will also be holding a Warm Clothing Drive from November 6 to December 5. They will be collecting gently used warm clothing, which will be donated to Matthew 25 Ministries. Donation boxes will be collected in the lobby of Muntz and Walters Halls, as well as by Bleecker Street Café in Muntz Hall.
