The Election's Over: Now What
The election has come and gone, but for citizens who aren’t rich, what really changes? Every couple of years and every four years for presidential elections, somebody else gets on television and tells you how much better he or she is going to make your life.
Be honest: has anything ever changed ?
The idea that putting the right people in these government positions will improve our lives is a joke that isn’t funny anymore.
This country is built to keep those on the bottom, on the bottom. The only time when broke people matter in this country is when the politicians need their votes to put them in office.
Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars are raised to finance the campaigns of potential candidates. Therefore, being that they want our vote, we as voters should be paid for our votes. Everything else in this country is for sale; why shouldn’t you capitalize from your vote?
I’m certain the idea I propose won’t get past this story, but something has to happen for poor people. With that being said, let’s all sit back and watch what very little changes in this country over the next few years.
