Dean Swaps Notes With Students in First Dish

By Morgan Richmond
On January 28, 2013

Tuesday evening, January 15, was UCBA's first Dish with the Dean of the new year. According to Student Life Program Coordinator, Sarah Meagher, the turnout was "phenomenal."
Approximately 40 students came and enjoyed free pizza, as Dean Cady Short-Thompson shared updates about campus. Students had the opportunity to ask questions as well.
A large focus of the event included conversation about current and possible future renovations. Muntz Hall is currently undergoing a great amount of changes, but later this year we will see even bigger changes.
In Fall 2013 UCBA will be opening up a brand new food service operation, an updated library, and an outdoor patio, all of which will feature more seating than in the past.
Students shared their hopes for future renovations, including more parking spaces, a recreation center, better traffic control, more classrooms, access to more software and technology options, and cleaner bathrooms.
