Wireless Printing Now Available on Campus
Many students have requested the ability to print wirelessly from their laptop and tablet devices, and the UCBA IT Department has answered. UCBA now offers wireless printing from Mac or PC laptops on campus grounds.
This will help clear up traffic in the computer concourse and will leave more computers open for students who do not have a laptop to work on.
With this new service, students will not only be able to print wirelessly but also keep track of their printing credits to ensure they do not go over their semester limit.
UC Web Print supports your basic file formats, including all Microsoft Office (.doc, .xls, .ppt), PDF, Plain Text, JPEG, and PNG among others.
There will be no support for software specific file formats, such as those in the Adobe Creative Suite (.ai, .indd, .psd etc). If you are working in a software program that is not supported, you must export the document into one of the supported file formats above.
To print, go to http://webprint.ucba.ucblueash.edu and sign in with your Central Login credentials on your laptop, select a printer (either Muntz 112 or Walters 200 are the only options), the document you wish to print, and click print. Documents, by default, will print double sided. If you do not wish to print in duplex, you must specify before you send the print job.
Once the print job has been sent, students still have to release the print job by clicking their UC username.
Please note that UC Web Print works best in Firefox rather than Chrome, Safari, or Internet Explorer.
