Deborah Themundo, Spanish teacher in the RWC Department of Foreign Languages, has organizrd a new summer study abroad program in Costa Rica. Students will live with carefully selected Costa Rican families and attend intense Spanish language classes at INTERLUCA Language Institute in the city of Heredia, a 20-minute bus ride from the capital city San Jose.

Students will have an opportunity to do more than study. Planned activities include trips to a butterfly farm, coffee plantation, volcano, Samara beach, museums, restaurants, and local markets.

Pre-requisites for the program include one year of university level Spanish, good academic standing, and enrollment in the three-hour course.
