Faculty Continue Caring Tradition
Three UCBA faculty are continuing a tradition established by former faculty Frank and Pat Cruise years ago. The professors-Pat Frese of Dental Hygiene, Debra Howard of Business and Economics, and Caryl Mayo of Nursing-have taken the original idea and expanded it.
The program is now called the UCBA Care and Share program. The trio have recently placed collection boxes near the Computer Concourse (M112) in Muntz Hall and in the first floor lobby in Walters Hall, where anyone can drop off donations of empty pill bottles (labels removed) and personal hygiene products.
The personal hygiene products must be new, unopened containers. Travel-size items from hotels and motels are the most desirable items. These items can be soaps, lotions, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving items, shampoos, conditioners, etc.
The empty pill bottles will be donated to Matthew 25 Ministries and the personal hygiene products will be donated to homeless shelters in Cincinnati.
