Former Child Migrant Worker to Speak Here

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage month, Dr. Jose Salinas, Director of the Ohio Migrant Education Center and former child migrant worker, will appear at UCBA as a guest speaker on October 10.
Dr. Salinas will be sharing his experiences as a child migrant worker and will discuss the kinds of educational barriers many migrant children face today. He will also talk about the national and state of Ohio migrant population, and give suggestions for personal involvement in serving such migrant families.
Cultural cuisine will be offered as well.
