'Tis the Season to Give

We are winding down to the final weeks of the semester and everyone is cramming and worrying about tests. As college students, it is our job to be stressed out over the classes, grades, and professors.
But in the midst of all of your stress and anxiety, don't forget to enjoy the time that you get to spend with your family and friends. Everyone doesn't have a family waiting at home by the fire with warm cocoa and cookies, so if you do, be thankful.
This is the season of giving, and more often than not, we forget that we aren't the only people who matter. Even if it's nothing but donating a few old clothes to a shelter, you never know how you could impact someone's life or bring hope to a situation.
An old shirt to you might be the nicest shirt that someone has ever had. So when you're making your Christmas list as I know I will be, remember someone other than yourself and the principle of Christmas: "It's better to give than to receive.
