A Breakthrough in HIV Research

Millions of individuals across the globe have died from or have been affected by the HIV virus. Researchers and scientists have put in years of work trying to find a cure for this horrible disease.
But recently, a baby born with the HIV virus appears to have been cured. Researchers and scientists are still trying to determine how this was possible.
The news has brought a lot of excitement to the medical world. Doctors, researchers, and scientists are now wondering if there is a cure for HIV. Have they finally found a way to stop the virus?
According to USA Today, researchers are sure that a cure is possible. A two-year-old girl from Mississippi who was infected with the HIV virus at birth is now said to be cured after 18 months of triple-drug therapy.
Scientists will now conduct further research to figure out what exactly allowed the child to be cured before they can apply that knowledge to developing vaccines or new drugs. They are not 100 percent sure that this virus is gone, but they will continue the investigation and keep a close eye on the child.
I honestly believe there has to be a cure for the HIV virus. It is a man-made disease, and I believe the government is withholding the cure.
I really hope this is a serious breakthrough for the HIV/AIDS world. If it is, millions of lives could and would be saved.
