Your Final College Days
Graduation at The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is just around the corner on June 8, 2012 at the Fifth-Third Arena in Clifton. Before the completion of graduation, students are expected to have submitted their applications to UCBA One Stop by April 6th.
This year, because there was such a great increase in the number of students graduating before semester conversion, there is a limit of five (5) tickets per student. In order to get these tickets they need to pick them up at UCBA One Stop and show their student ID's. This is a decline in the number of tickets from recent years because they use to be able to get an unlimited amount of tickets. "This has motivated quite a few students to kick it up a notch so they could graduate prior to that occurring next fall, resulting in more graduates this spring," said Assistant Dean, Pam Lineback. By having many more graduates, this resulted in more visitors. The University couldn't be more proud!
Due to the 100% increase in graduates, "the school will provide a family-friend center to watch graduation," said Lineback. There will also be a first come, first serve opportunity for students if they want to get more than five tickets. Graduation can also be viewed on computer as well. After the completion of graduation, the UC Alumni Association will host a reception for all graduates and guests. This will take place at the Russell C. Myers Alumni Center on Main Campus.
Students are encouraged to get their caps and gowns at either the UCBA bookstore or the TUC University of Cincinnati bookstore. They will also be able to order graduation announcements, class rings, and sign up with the UC Alumni Association. This will take place on April 10 and 11.
With the new semester conversions so close, advisors want to make sure that all non- graduating students have verified their major. By doing this it helps advisors get your degree audits ready for the next upcoming school year. This is a new concept because all schools in the state of Ohio will be on semesters from now on.
