New non-credit ESL courses set for spring
If you need something educational to pass the time, you can take one of two new non-credit courses to be offered this spring at RWC: English Conversation Circle and Grammar and Editing. English Conversation Circle is a class designed for English as a Second Language students who would like to improve their spoken English. Basic knowledge of English is recommended. The class will be held Tuesdays from 1 p.m. through 2:20 p.m. or Wednesdays at 6:40-8 p.m. It will be taught by Peggy Strohmaier. The cost is $300 for ten sessions. The class size will be limited to six participants.
Topics to be covered in the course include American culture and holidays, current events, idioms, phone skills, asking directions, going to the doctor, restaurant etiquette, and individual questions.

The other new course at RWC this coming Spring is Grammar and Editing, which is designed for American and English as a Second Language students who would like to refresh, strengthen, and practice Standard American Written English.
In this class, participants will learn to edit for grammar, punctuation, and syntax. You can take this non-credit course for $300 (for 10 weeks).
It will be offered on Thursdays from 1-2:20 p.m., or on the same day from 6:15-7:35 p.m. The professor will be Mei Ying Minnich, and the class size will be limited to eight participants.
