RWC Design students to give Activist a makeover

By Cindy Miller
On January 22, 2007

This quarter, the RWC Department of Art and Visual Communications will be collaborating with the Activist staff on a mission to redesign the print version of the Activist. Specifically, students in the Publication Design class taught by Professor Patrick Schreiber will be assigned to make recommendations to improve the design of the printed Activist. (They will not work on the on-line version of the Activist ).

Professor Schreiber developed the idea for the project and contacted Professor Mike Roos, Activist Faculty Advisor, last quarter to discuss the proposal. Professor Roos enthusiastically accepted the plan, and the project was set in motion.

Students in both classes will meet at various times during the quarter for consultations and feedback. At the end of the quarter, the students in the Design class will present their recommendations to the Activist staff. Check back next quarter to see the results.
