A better world
A Better World 2008If you like to write and are a member of the Greater Cincinnati area, you are welcome to submit a poem about peace and justice. Peace and Justice are the two themes of this year's contest.
If selected, your poem may appear in "For A Better World 2008", which will come out on April 1st 2008.
Here are the rules:
1. Poems to relate themes of peace and justice
2. Poet may submit up to 3 poems
3. Poet from or connected to the Greater Cincinnati area
4. All submissions will be considered. The editors will be looking for quality, inclusiveness, and appropriateness to the themes of peace and justice
5. If space becomes limited, priority will be given to poets not published in previous books. (This is the 5th annual book)
6. Poems selected will be illustrated in black and white by Greater Cincinnati artists (One drawing per poet)
7. Poems and illustrations will be printed in "For A Better World 2008" to come out 4/08
8. Books will be launched and available at SOS Art 2008
9. Poets are invited to read their poems at SOS Art 2008
10. Submission deadline is February 15, 2008
11. Please send submissions in an email by attachment, or in full text to Saad Ghosn at saad.ghosn@uc.edu or by US Mail on a floppy disk to 216 Erkenbrecher Ave, Cincinnati Ohio, 45229
