Style: Fashion Goes Old School But Rules More Than Ever
Have you ever noticed how Old School is slowly coming back in fashion in the new era of today, just when we thought we buried the used-to-be-tacky "Mom Jeans"?
Yes, it's all coming back to life, from the bleached neon ombre hair to the trendy poetic box braids. The vintage look is the new style.
Yet, in spite of that old school trend, today's fashion world is like no other that came before.
Clothing defines people more than ever. It expresses a person's mood and brings out the inner personality.
Fashion is more raw than it has ever been. It's now becoming the center focus of people's lives. It isn't what it used to be back in the 70s and 80s. It is becoming a big deal.
Back in the "Hippie" era, people wore wide-legged bell bottom pants, kaftans and miniskirts. The 70s were known for tie dye and wrap dresses, along with hair styles like the gypsy cut, feathered hair, the mullet and Afros.
With the 80s, you think of leg warmers, crop tops, leggings, and big bangle bracelets, which are all coming back in style.
In the 90s, baggy jeans, Adidas jump suits, Ralph Lauren, colored lip stick, and lace fitted dresses came into style.
Now the current generation is bringing back styles from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, but with much improved quality and more importance placed on style.
Today, if you wear designer clothing with high price brands such as Robin Jeans, Rock Revivals, Miss Me, True Religion, Meeks, and Lagunas, you're considered a "Somebody."
The way you dress today can determine where you are in society.
