Video Games: "Last of Us" Shines

Last of Us is an underrated launch for the PlayStation 3 only, and it is one of the few games today where the quality actually matches the price of it. Anyone who owns a PS3 or PS4 or ever considered owning one of the two needs to experience Last of Us.
The game is similar to other zombie-survival apocalypse games and really puts emphasis on the survival aspect. You have nearly nothing to work with during half of the game, and you will find yourself using whatever's available. For example, there are many items like scissors, knives, cans and gun powder that you can combine to make a homemade fragmentation grenade.
One of the main highlights is definitely the gameplay of the main characters-Joel, a man in his 40's, and Ellie, a 15-year-old girl, whom the game revolves around. Throughout the game, you will switch between both characters and use each to build a formative force.
A second highlight of Last of Us is the emotional cutscenes. The graphics, details, and facial expressions of the characters seem almost too real. You will even make an emotional connection to characters that betray you during a point of the game.
Unfortunately, unlike other zombie games you may have played, Last of Us is not an open end. You'll find that most of the story is pretty linear, but it will not disappoint, for there are plenty of tactics to use for approaching enemies.
Last of Us even features an online multiplayer mode to keep you busy even after you finish the main story. But you'll probably be playing the story for the second time, considering how intense it can be.
I give Last of Us five homemade grenades out of five.
