Movies: Jack, the Beanstalk, and the Giants
In the movie "Jack the Giant Slayer," Nicholas Hault, starring as Jack, succeeds in slaying the giants, who are prisoners in their own land because of a crown that they look at as basically their ruler.
Whoever wears the crown can control the giants. Jack is a normal commoner who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. For thousands of years the giants were locked away in their own land, and the only way out was for the magic beans to be watered.
Then a beanstalk would grow and the world of the giants would be opened up. The king's daughter is an adventurous girl who loves to wander off and explore the world, and she finds herself seeking shelter from the rain at Jack's place.
The magic beans get wet in the rain and the beanstalk bursts through the house, throwing Jack out of the house but taking the princess with it. It is up to Jack and a couple of trained fighters to bring the princess back, but the journey is not very easy.
Jack has to slay the giants in order to save his small town and the princess. I personally love this movie, especially in the IMAX 3D. It is a great experience, and the animations are incredible. It felt like I was going along for the ride.
If you are the type of person who loves adventure and thrills, I highly advise you to see it. It will be an adventure you won't ever forget.
