Movies: The Great Oz Must Come to the Rescue
The movie "The Great and Powerful Oz" was released on March 8, starring the great actor from "Spiderman," James Franco, along with Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, and Rachel Weis. It is the prequel to the movie we all know as "The Wizard of Oz."
In the movie a magician named Oz wants to be the greatest magician, greater than Houdini, which would take a lot. A huge tornado comes through Kansas, taking Oz with it.
As Oz gets thrown around in the hot air balloon, the tornado takes him away, and he finds himself falling through the sky into the magical Land of Oz. The wonderful people there have been waiting for him to fulfill the prophecy in taking the throne as King and saving Emerald City from the wicked witch.
To the great people of Oz, Oz is a wizard but to himself he is just a tricky magician who is not very good. It's all up to Oz to find it in himself to succeed in his greatest trick yet, to run the wicked witch out of the city.
He has to save Emerald City and make it peaceful again, but little does he know he will run into an even bigger problem in the process. Who can he trust and who is the real wicked witch?
This movie is awesome. I felt like I was in Emerald City myself. It is a great adventure, and the animations are great. I advise everyone to see the movie. If you have kids, take them to see it. They will love it.
