Student Government Kicks Off New Year
The UCBA Student Government is having some big events coming up this semester, starting with the World Wide Book Drive.
The Book Drive is a program where used books are donated to less fortunate schools.
Anyone can participate in the drive by coming to one of the Student Government meetings held every second and fourth Thursday of the month in Muntz Hall Room 147.
Usually textbooks less than five years old are the books needed the most, but any kinds of books would still be appreciated.
The Student Government also participated in the 5K Dash/Walk-Run for Scholarships on UCBA campus on October 12. President Kara Sunday led the Student Government team in the event.
The officers, with their email contacts, are as follows: Kara Sunday, President, sundaykl@mail.uc.edu; Luan Lam, Secretary, lamlv@mail.uc.edu; Thao Nguyen, Treasurer, nguye2t8@mail.uc.edu; Martha Asiedu, Speaker, asieduma@mail.uc.edu; and Amanda Swanson, Senator, swansoac@mail.uc.edu.
