Fashion: Who Are You? The Fashion Role of Make-Up
When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Have you ever walked down the hallway and just wondered what other people see in you?
Have you ever heard the saying "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"? The world we live in today is all about the "glitz and the glam."
People in society often judge people based on what's on the outside without even giving them a chance to see what lies within.
The most insecure things come about from the negativity we get from others. That's when make-up comes along.
Just because a person wears make-up, it doesn't mean she doesn't have a natural beauty to her. Just because a person wears make-up doesn't mean she is insecure or has low self esteem.
Whenever you see a young woman or older adult with make-up on, what goes on in your head? So many people believe that if a person wears make-up she is hiding certain flaws that she doesn't want others to see, but that isn't always the case.
Did you know cosmetics were first used in the ancient times by the ancient Egyptians? They also were the first to create cosmetics using copper ore, galena, malachite, henna dye and other minerals. Not only was it used by the Egyptian women, but by the men also. Make-up for them meant royalty and wealth.
Cosmetics are a huge part of fashion. Today the most popular cosmetic lines are Mac, Sephora, Elf, Cover Girl, and L'Oreal.
Make-up isn't a mask as some people would say. It shows that you have taken time to clean yourself up and get yourself together. It's more like a talent.
It can compliment your beauty by highlighting your best features.
Wearing make-up is not always a negative thing. Wearing cosmetics can also make you look fresher, younger and happier.
Make-up doesn't define you, and it doesn't make you. With or without wearing make-up, beauty lies within.
