At the top of the year, the Cincinnati native known as Lantana Easy (or simply Lantana) released his third studio project since his release from Lebanon Correctional Institute and his first as a signee of RCA Polo Grounds Records.

The album is entitled “Live From Lantana”—an enthralling collection of 20 tracks that capture the artist’s passion and bravado well enough to have accumulated a 92 percent rating from listeners on HotNewHipHop.com.

This project depicts him teetering back and forth from the joys of having recently signed a multi-million dollar contract to his humble beginnings and current mind state in which his “People, People” are still struggling.

It seems as though the “All Hustle No Luck” rapper has not lost sight of his goal and coined phrase: “All I Ever Wanted Was Some Money.”

Floating among the clouds of his newfound success in the music industry, he looks to remain grounded with humbling tracks like “Understand” and “Keep Pushing.”

More braggadocio claims surface on a song like “Feel Like,” which is only about two and a half minutes long but entails a gritty delivery and production that moves you to get up out of your seat and hit the dirty bird (or do it right where you’re sitting).

“Live From Lantana” also includes the acclaimed “All Hustle No Luck Remix,” which found a home within the countdown on “106 & Park” for weeks; seemingly relentless radio play; not to mention, features from the likes of Pitbull, Bun B, Yo Gotti, and Pusha T.  It’s almost like a trophy song that exemplifies the mass amount of accomplishment foreseen and attained by the 27-year-old rapper out of College Hill.

Furthermore, this mixtape proves a great listen is available for free download on HotNewHipHop.com.

Look out for the upcoming single entitled “Feed the Streets,” which was scheduled for release on October 31 from his forthcoming EP, “Good Intentions.”

There’s no word on exactly when the EP will be released, but this should be a track to spark conversation and get the fans anxious for what Lantana still has to offer.
