The Greatest Catch of the Year
In a loss to the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, Odell Beckham Jr. had 10 catches for 146 yards—and the greatest catch I have ever witnessed.
The rookie out of LSU had the most mesmerizing grab that most people have ever seen. With the first play of the second quarter, Eli Manning heaved a ball close to 50 yards, intended for Odell Beckham Jr.
After being interfered with by his defender in the one-on-one coverage, Odell leapt backwards for an “uncatchable” ball. With one arm fully extended over his head, the ball found its way into the fingertips of his hand—forcing his arm past his head, making us question how his shoulder is still in tact.
To make the catch even more incredible, Odell fell past the goaline—scoring a touchdown.
Twitter erupted. The official NFL Twitter account played off Kim Kardashian, tweeting “Odell Beckham just broke the internets.”
