Bearcats Bow Out With Pride; Cronin Cleared to Return
The UC Bearcats men’s basketball team finished the season 23-11 overall, advancing to their fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament and then beating Purdue in the second round, before losing to undefeated Kentucky, 64-51, in third-round action on March 21.
But the Bearcats didn't make it easy for UK, mixing it up with the Wildcats on almost every play.
Head Coach Mick Cronin, who had been unable to coach the team since being diagnosed with an arterial dissection in January, has been cleared to resume all duties with no restrictions, the UC Department of Athletics announced on March 30.
Cronin will enter his 10th season at the helm of the Bearcats in 2015-16, returning 11 of 12 lettermen and all five starters from this year’s campaign.
This season has been a great one, and I know we all can't wait till next season to see what the Bearcats have in store for us!
