Feature Student: Tyler Clarke
The Sky Bleeds Ashes
"It's finally happening; my car is going to explode!" Tyler Clarke, an Electronic Media Technology student at UC Blue Ash, says to himself in awe as he backs up while on the phone with the police. "I always envisioned that car driving until it exploded [laughing]. It only caught fire."
If you have not heard about it by now, on Tuesday, November 15, in the UC Blue Ash parking lot, on his way to Stephen Gillen's media business and law class, Tyler Clarke's car went up in flames.
He laughs about it now, but at the time it was a scary sight, not only for him, but for everyone around. Though the entire incident was over in about fifteen minutes, it seemed forever for Tyler. Fortunately, Professor Gillen did excuse his absence.
The kid from Mariemont, Ohio, with a bright future is extending his vast knowledge of entertaining people with his career decision in Broadcast.
Whether it is behind the camera, directing, or being the talent in a piece of work, Tyler is sure to please whoever watches/listens as he has a keen ability to make people laugh. Not only is he a funny guy, but he's also very approachable.
Tyler now laughs about his car fire and has fun with the incident when people ask him about it, almost acting as if it wasn't anything more than a scene for a movie he was producing.
And with the experience of it actually happening to him, he could easily re-create the event if he ever wanted or needed to.
Attending Mariemont High School, Tyler took part in numerous theatrical productions.
Now, being just a freshman at UC Blue Ash, he has made documentaries and short films, acted in some short films, and even taken some artistic photos with the skills he has learned thus far.
To endeavor! A skill not many people have, or keep, but not even a car fire keeps Tyler down.
In fact he has two assignments coming up, but rather than make an excuse as to not do these assignments, he is actually looking forward to them and excited about their outcomes.
You have to admire his dedication; most people would have dropped out of college out of sheer embarrassment.
"Fortunately, it didn't go boom!" Tyler laughed.
