Music: Katy Perry Adds Fireworks to Super Bowl Halftime Show
Recently, many of us watched the 2015 Super Bowl. Some watched for the football, some watched for the commercials, and some watched for the one and only half time show performance. This year’s half time main attraction was Katy Perry.
Katy started off her performance with a big entrance, riding into the stadium on a large mechanical tiger as she sang one of her top hits, “Roar.” She proceeded to sing “Dark Horse,” another number one hit from her latest album, “Prism.”
Her first guest, Lenny Kravitz, was waiting to welcome her as acrobats flipped beside Perry. They sang a duet of “I Kissed a Girl.”
Then the stage changed once again for the performance of “Teenage Dream.” Perry sang to a breezy beach setting, with dancing sharks, bopping palm trees and smiling beach balls. It was hard not to laugh at the dancing sharks, trees, and beach balls. After the performance I have seen many tweets joking and making fun of the dancing sharks.
After the dancing sharks left the stage, “California Gurls” was performed. Missy Elliott came on stage to perform “Get Ur Freak On” and “Work It” as Perry played hype-woman. Then, Missy performed “Lose Control.”
After the performance from Elliott, Perry came back for the finale, singing “Firework,” and of course there were fireworks exploding around Perry and the stadium as she finished her performance.
The popular, energetic, female pop star had a successful 13-minute show. Katy Perry is what a Super Bowl halftime show should be.
